To our volunteers, members, community partners, donors, and supporters here and around the world...

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Your generous contributions to The Vancouver Women's Library has helped us grow beyond our wildest dreams.

In February 2017 we started inside an art studio with 80 women-authored books. Thanks to your generosity, encouragement, time and care, we have created together a real live functioning women's library with more than 2000 women-authored books. We could not have done this without you.

We have learned so much in the past 6 months and we are grateful for this gift - the opportunity to learn, grow, and serve the women and girls of Vancouver and beyond. We would like to humbly thank and honour your faith in us by working doubly hard to improve our services and secure the longevity of this vibrant and vital resource.

In the coming weeks we will be launching new fundraising efforts and communicating more frequently about our progress, successes, and failures on our road to becoming a non-profit co-operative. Our aim is to document our process so that anyone with the desire can start a community co-operative library of their own. Stay tuned! (If you would like to donate now, please follow this link)

What are our next steps?

We are organizing ourselves as a co-operative and training more volunteers! If you'd like to get involved, please fill out our volunteer form. We will get back to you within the week for an orientation!

We also welcome you to join us at our 1st annual BLOCK PARTY!! This Sunday August 20th, 11am-5pm! After several postponements, we are finally ready to relinquish our hoard of treasures. We have an untold number of mason jars, books, clothes, jackets, shoes, accessories, antiques, rare ephemera, records, knick-knacks! Come one - come all! It will be a blast!
