Join us for Female Excellence Fridays at the Vancouver Women's Library!
This "mastermind group" is for girls ages 12 and up, who are encouraged to bring their homework, research, readings, projects, writing, hobbies, and dreams to the library for productive and supportive work-study sessions in the company of excellence! Every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month from 5-8pm.
Each session will be led by dedicated VWL volunteers, who will provide informal tutoring and mentorship in a variety of subjects. We are university students and professionals who bring a breadth of knowledge and experience ranging from French Immersion and International Baccalaureate programs, to Graphic Design, Art, Engineering, Counselling, Filmmaking, Indigenous Studies, Philosophy, Joinery, Front-line Support Work... and much more.
New Year, New Job? This Friday, January 12th, we hope to focus on cultivating our resumes, CVs, and cover letter writing. Please join us. Of course, if you have another project-focus you'd like to work on for the evening, please do!
Our aim is to foster healthy habits and friendships in a safe and nurturing environment that values and respects intergenerational and intercultural conversations.
Students may work on their own, or gain one-on-one assistance as needed and available.
Adult members of the library who wish to participate, hang out, or offer mentorship & tutoring are most welcome to join us!
#FEF sessions are free and by donation. No registration is required.
